Jane Ling

I’m Jane Ling. I started my UX career in 2014 at Siemens and quickly fell in love with web design and user research. I enjoy learning how humans and computers interact, watching users using software to uncover their pain points, sketching flows and interactions, and creating wireframes. I love working on websites, web applications, and mobile apps.

To me, the essence of design is problem-solving (However, Robin Rendle doesn't say so). In order to ensure the software is user-friendly, UX designers do more than what you can see.

Now I work as a product designer in CVS Health. I am part of the XP (extreme programming) lab that ensures product success and end-user satisfaction in the healthcare and pharmacy world.

Outside of work, when I am not designing, I can be found enjoying long walks on the beach or listening to design podcasts while cooking for my family.

I have an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. I live in the lovely windy city – Chicago, Illinois. Before moving to Chicago, I lived in China, Los Angeles, Minnesota, and Dallas. I am a Mexican food lover, a hopeless optimist, and a task list maker with a PMP certification.
